The DSPS (Dual Stage Pivot System) provides optimal lateral support, preventing hyperextension and excessive compression, while allowing the foot to move naturally on the footpegs.
The boot features an injected PU front plate to protect the shin and a strategically shaped heel counter for maximum comfort and safety. Additionally, the toe area is designed to improve sensitivity on the gear lever and optimize control of the bike.
The closure system includes four interchangeable buckles, enhanced with rubber details to ensure optimal grip and traction during use. Additionally, a Velcro strap on the top ensures a precise and secure closure. The first two upper buckles are adjustable, offering versatility to accommodate larger legs or knee pads.
The rubber "Grip Guard", located on the inside of the boot, not only ensures exceptional grip on the motorcycle, but also acts as heat-resistant protection for the inside of the leg.
The inner lining features the renowned 'Gaerne Memory Cell Foam', which adapts to the shape of the foot to offer personalized comfort and optimal support.
The insole is shaped to provide adequate support for the foot. A new shock-absorbing material has been integrated into the rear part of the footbed to ensure maximum comfort while riding, while the front part is designed to promote ventilation and keep the foot cool.
The handcrafted Goodyear Welted construction, a technique consistently used by Gaerne since 1962, ensures a robust and durable sole. This commitment to quality craftsmanship and longevity has become a cornerstone of Gaerne motocross boots. Furthermore, this construction method allows for easy resoling, extending the product's lifespan.
The Dual Composite sole features a tread specifically designed to offer exceptional traction on the motorcycle footpegs and in particular on muddy and wet terrain.
The SG12 boot is CE certified according to the EN 13634:2017 standard and EU Regulation 2016/425.
