ECE R22-06 requires a more stringent series of tests than the previous ECE R22-05 approval.

Arai presented the RX-7V EVO and was able to pass the homologation, while maintaining the helmet's ability to slide and deflect energy thanks to an outer shell that was as round, smooth and resistant as possible.
